[Performance / Installation Art / Video, KVD Gallery, Dachau 2015]
Based on an imitation of the Red Room (the Black Lodge) from David Lynch "Twin Peaks" - the non-place or waiting room between the worlds - perception and reality were conveyed through an interactive room installation that changed several times over the course of the exhibition shifted the unreal, uncanny and irritating.
"Suddenly there is life in this in-between world. That is the performance. It draws its magic from the red art space with a zigzag floor, in which everyone becomes an actor. The corridor, at the end of which there is a screen, changes its visitors. It puts them in a artificial world and gives them the feeling that something is happening.(...) Then something does happen: in a prologue with singer Christian Eberl, Barbara Trommeter introduces the audience to the indescribable power of the curtain. It is the means of concealment and to reveal, to open and to close. In the royal color red, the color of emotion, the
movement, of desire, it has an incredible, magical effect. As a border between auditorium and stage, between reality and fiction. The visitors listen spellbound." (Bärbel Schäfer, SZ Dachau)
